Hello! I am Nick Dowdell and I will be graduating from Texas Tech University in May 2012. I am receiving a B.F.A. with a concentration in Communication Design. I am an introspective and detail oriented designer who doesn't mind getting his hands dirty. Ironically staring at computer screens for long periods of time bums me a bit and I take every chance I get to design using elements not created on the computer. I am at home in both rural and urban environments and I try to find inspiration in everything

One of my current career goals is to establish myself at an innovative software company where my strengths and talents would serve well. This would serve to expand on my sales experience and ensure a constant education and exposure to the latest technology. Some of my strengths include, but are not limited to: a mind for learning, sales, the ability to adapt to the always improving world of technology, and a strong work ethic as demonstrated by pursuing my education while being engaged in internships and employment.

In future years, alongside a challenging sales career, I would like to be designing and creating custom furniture, light fixtures, automotive finsihes, screen printed t-shirts and posters. My vision is to incorporate all these skills and services into a flexible freelance organization called Green Ape Design. This endeavor will include a few of my closest creative friends and will be defined mainly as an outlet for our creative energies.
